Verdict
The Michael Dodds stable is back in top form and he runs both Bundy and Mickledor, the last named is the one for us, with Locombe Hill another to consider. Mickledor, a course and distance winner in July, has been steadily returning to his best. His recent fifth in a very competitive event at Catterick over seven furlongs will have set him up nicely for this race, and over his favoured distance will be hard to beat. As long as the ground isn't too soft Bundy should be involved in the finish. He was well beaten by Locombe Hill last time, but that was very testing ground and over a longer trip. Locombe Hill may well confirm that form though, as he was well in the lead at the six furlong marker and remains in great heart. Ulysees and Flying Edge are two others worthy of a mention, but Mickledor appears to be hitting top form and gets the vote.
