In depth

Verdict

Wunderbra has been in terrific form all season and warrants every respect here, however we will take a chance on Morgan Lewis, with Mr Wolf and Four Amigos also set to figure in the finish. Toby Balding's gelding was the only one to make a race of it with Out After Dark at Sandown last time. He appreciated the drop to five furlongs and the softened ground, so with everything in his favour today he will be difficult to beat. Mr Wolf put up his best display of the season when chasing home Hout Bay in a very competitive handicap at Ayr last time and looks set to make another bold bid. Wunderbra has had a short break, but if she returns in the same sort of late summer form that saw her rise a stone in the weights, she will be a tough nut to crack. Four Amigos finished behind Wunderbra last time but does have a very nice weight pull and so must come into the argument. A very puzzling finale for betting purposes, but we will side with Morgan Lewis.
