Verdict
Cosmic Chatter certainly deserves a change of luck having just been touched off by Born Innocent here last Thursday. The latter now has a penalty so may struggle to confirm that form, though is less exposed. Ruth Carr's charge had earlier finished a neck ahead of SPIRIT OF ZEB over course and distance when second to Final Venture but it may be worth giving Richard Fahey's charge another chance today on slightly better terms given he was third to the much-improved Orion's Bow on his reappearance – that one has won twice since, including Friday's Gosforth Park Cup. Tikthebox has run very well on both previous starts here and Birkdale won his maiden over track and trip at the start of the month, though was beaten by Dark Defender at Ayr a year ago. Barkston Ash is a rare winner nowadays so Nonno Giulio may be best of the rest.
