      Verdict

      GYM SHOES ran his best race so far on his penultimate start at Ascot when a close fourth in a nursery. His latest run at Ayr should be excused as he was impeded and never in the hunt subsequently so this looks his chance. Henke didn't run badly at Carlisle on his handicap debut and looks reasonably treated but Soul Instinct appeared to be suited by soft ground at Carlisle and would need some rain. Milly's Secret had no chance in a two-horse race against Supplicant and finished last of eight in a better race than this on the same track. Neither Dry Your Eyes nor Red Forever are out of it in a tight little handicap.
