Verdict
Majorca, Indiana Blues, Hawaajes and Grey Gurkha are the four to concentrate on here and the nomination is given to Majorca. The selection ran well when finishing second behind Alderney Race at Leicester last time, and as he is not up against anything of that class here, he is taken to score. This colt from the John Gosden yard really caught the eye that day and with conditions to suit it would be a surprise if he was not good enough to take this. Indiana Blues rates the main danger, and his latest disappointing effort at Goodwood can be forgiven as he did not handle the track that day. He showed plenty of ability in his three runs last season and with more improvement expected he could go well. Hawaajes could go well if he is allowed an uncontested lead as he likes to bowl along in front, while Grey Gurkha will have to improve on his debut effort to trouble the principles here, although the step up in trip may help. However, for the winner we return to Majorca.
