Verdict
This is a wide open race to round off the card and many of these would have chances on their best form, but Romany Nights, Cd Flyer and Type One are the three we like the most and a chance is taken on the last mentioned. The gelding from the John Quinn yard is dropped in grade slightly after disappointing in a Class D handicap at Redcar last time. He had previously run well in a claimer at Doncaster and a chance is taken on him finding his form once again here. Romany Nights rates the main danger on his recent second behind Pax in a similar event to this at York. That was a decent effort and if he can reproduce it here he will not be far away at the finish. Cd Flyer is a course and distance winner and he finished behind Quito at York last time. The second home that day Tom Tun runs in the race preceding this and if he goes well then it could advertise the form of that York race. Cardinal Venture is the other that can't be ruled out in these type of events and he hails from the shrewd Kevin Ryan yard, although he has never won over this trip. This is not an easy race to predict and Type One is given only a tentative nomination.
