In depth

Verdict

BLACK SNOWFLAKE can show his rivals a clean pair of heels but Gunner Lindley and Jimmy The Poacher make a fair degree of appeal. Godolphin's juveniles tend to progress substantially for their first run and while Gunner Lindley is entitled to go close off a 3lb pull at the weights; our selection has that little more in the way of scope. The Human League, who split the pair in that Newmarket maiden, has gone on to win since. The market is watched in relation to Jimmy The Poacher. The grey has an entry in the Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy and represents a yard that look to have a decent crop of juveniles this term. Ajara Boy is a half-brother to Mister Benedictine and is owned by footballers, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes. Paradise Spectre is tried in first time visor having gone close in a Hamilton maiden. Our Jonathan has plenty of speed on his father's side of the pedigree. Saddlers Lodge is bred to get a mile though his father has hardly set the world alight at stud. Smog hails from a yard that invariably get improvement from a first time out run so the notebook will prove handy. Hot Spark is one of the cheaper purchases on view but there is no shortage of pace in his pedigree. Black Snowflake is our pick.
