    Verdict

    Alex My Boy drops in class but has shown signs of temperament of late and was reluctant to get involved at Ascot last time. Southwell winner Ujagar is the most exposed but should at least set a proper pace at the head of affairs, though that will leave him vulnerable to York fourth Tiger Lilly and ALTAAYIL. The latter never looked like catching odds-on shot Forever Now when second at Doncaster but the half-brother to a French St Leger winner should improve for today's longer distance. Sir Michael Stoute's colt gets the nod to come good on his handicap debut.
