Verdict

Four times a winner on the all-weather in January, Sendintank has been well placed by trainer Stuart Williams to win his last three starts on turf and can again take advantage of a favourable mark, with Genghis and Chanteloup rated the main dangers. The selection can race off the same mark as when successful at Newcastle on Monday but is due to go up 15lbs in future handicaps so is undoubtedly well in at the weights. Another race so soon after his last latest win is of little concern as the son of Halling takes his races well and more of a worry would be the drop in trip. However, Sendintank is so well treated that he should be able to make it four on the bounce with the minimum of fuss. Top weight Genghis ran creditably when eighth behind Sualda at York last time in a better race than this and cannot be dismissed lightly. He rates a bigger threat than Paul Webber's Golano, who has struggled in two starts on turf since making an encouraging return on the all-weather in June. Theatre Time is entitled to strip fitter for his recent reappearance but may not be appreciative of the cut in the ground and of more interest is James Fanshawe's Chanteloup. The Grand Lodge half-sister to Border Arrow has yet to live up to her pedigree but may do better now that she goes handicapping and she has to be respected. Sendintank has obvious claims though and is impossible to oppose.
