In depth

Verdict

Excel Power has been in the handicapper’s grip since completing a hat-trick on Polytrack in the spring but Tadreeb is very interesting reverting to his best trip after two runs over a mile. Like Beheld, GREAT NEWS was a beaten favourite on his latest start but that was on the all-weather and he still finished ahead of Excel Power – he has his ground today. Dulla Bhatti disappointed on his handicap debut and Invincibly is having a first run since wind surgery in June.
