Verdict

No Planning won this last year with Firebird Flyer only third. He's 3lb higher but should still confirm the form with Evan Williams' charge. VIRAK (NAP) has come up against some very smart novices since completing his hat-trick in a Grade 2 over this trip at Doncaster in December. Despite top weight, he's not at all badly treated as he makes his handicap debut over the larger obstacles and his rider's claim is a bonus. Carrigdhoun returned from a lengthy absence to score over a shorter trip here last month and is lightly-raced while King Of The Wolds came right back to form at Ayr and shouldn't be ignored. Astigos has been knocking on the door but many of the others have a bit to prove having disappointed in recent starts, including stablemate Hada Men.
