      Verdict

      PATH OF THUNDER has the form in the book having missed out by only a neck at Yarmouth. A further step up in trip today could see him off the mark at the main expense of another Godolphin runner in Encipher. The Gosden newcomer is a half-brother to a winner in France and the 425,000gns purchase is preferred to a couple of Kingman colt’s in Kingbrook and Boomer. Glory Maker was still beaten a long way when third at Hamilton on his introduction but may be more at home on today’s fast going.
