Verdict
A trappy race to get the card under way with several of the bigger yards represented. Of those to have run, Jay Gee's Choice sets a fair standard and unless one of the newcomers is above average he looks set to lose his maiden tag. Joshuas Boy, a half-brother to the useful sprinters Eastern Purple and Double Oscar can be expected to have improved from his debut, while Tanaffus is also expected to leave his outing at Newmarket behind. Illustrator, who holds entries in both the Royal Lodge and the Racing Post Trophy is clearly held in high regard, but the majority of juveniles from that yard tend to show improvement from their first outing.
