In depth
Verdict
Major Speculation looks the one to be with here after shaping last time that a return to this trip was needed. Already a winner over this trip at Lingfield, the Spectrum colt lost nothing in defeat at Newmarket, giving weight away all round, over what looked an inadequate six-furlongs. Convex, who was just behind the selection at Headquarters, meets his rival on the same terms and he too should be suited by this extra furlong. Robinia Parkes has been in good form all this year and has shaped as though this trip should suit, but she comes from a speedy family and there must be some doubt about the seven-furlongs, while Love Is Blind, who has been in good form of late, might just struggle in this company. Late Claim and Moujoudh are others to consider.
