      Verdict

      Monsieur Mirasol won his maiden on a soft surface and may do better now that he tackles a more testing surface again so gets the vote over I'm Aimee and Make Us Flush. The last two mentioned have similar claims having been running consistently well in nurseries of late and are closely matched on their running here last month when separated by just a short head. There should not be a great deal between the pair again and they both have to be respected. Willie Muir's Avertigo is potentially well treated but would probably prefer a faster surface and of more interest is Madame Topflight, for who Nicky Mackay has been booked. Make Us Flush has claims, especially now that Alan Berry's team is back among the winners, while Princely Vale hails from a yard that places their runners to good effect. However, the vote goes to Monsieur Mirasol. Kevin Ryan's gelding confirmed the promise of earlier starts when opening his account is a soft ground maiden at Newcastle over today's trip and while disappointing in a nursery at Pontefract last time that was on a faster surface. The return to more testing conditions underfoot is expected to see a return to form for Monsieur Mirasol.
