Verdict
Dahliyev gets the vote over Polar Dawn and newcomer Boracay Dream in division one of the maiden. In a race that could turn out to be quite informative, Dahliyev is only a tentative choice, but with Johnny Murtagh booked to ride, the son of Fasliyev should go close judged on his latest effort at Lingfield. Brought to challenge a furlong out, he was only denied second right on the line and obviously does not mind a battle even at this early stage of his career. Polar Dawn nearly came up trumps on her debut here when going down by the narrowest of margins, and was beaten by the draw as much as anything when failing to progress at Chepstow next time. She will be a danger, while of the newcomers, Boracay Dream makes most appeal with his stable making an impact with its juveniles this term. A half-brother to five winners, it would be no surprise if he were to oblige here. In contrast, John Dunlop's youngsters always come on for their debut, so Eva Soneva So Fast may be best watched. Swift Oscar, who made his racecourse bow at York, holds some big entries so should not be underestimated either, but we shall stick with Dahliyev on this occasion.
