Verdict

Leap Year Lad beat Arkenstaar by almost two lengths over course and distance last month but the runner-up is 3lb better off and didn’t get the run of the race that day. That pair are the most exposed, however, and KHINJANI is fancied to come good today. He could have done without a further 3lb rise but should confirm Newbury running with So Farhh So Good, despite worse terms. Ala Kaifi has only been beaten a short-head the last twice and won’t be far away again if first-time blinkers have the desired effect.
