Verdict

Mohaayed beat Western Ryder just over three lengths in a Grade 3 handicap at Ascot four weeks ago but the latter is now 4ln better off and may well turn the tables. Pingshou has been chasing this season but is a Grade 1 winner over the smaller obstacles so shouldn’t be left out of calculations. Last month’s Newbury winner Global Citizen has every chance against Mohaayed and Western Ryder on collateral form and wasn’t disgraced in the Christmas Hurdle last month but SILVER STREAK (NAP) looks the one to beat. Evan Williams’ grey showed himself to be better than a handicapper when second in the International Hurdle at Cheltenham and he holds Western Ryder on that form.
