In depth

Verdict

Daklondike beat Ballyarthur in the Tommy Whittle here last month and won over this trip at Newbury last season. He’s a decent stayer and the youngest in this field so warrants respect. Red Infantry has also won around here this season and he is one of those that will be staying on in the closing stages but Wakanda was disappointing at Wetherby last month and a lengthy absence won’t help Robinsfirth. One For Arthur may also need another run but Ballydine is 5lb out of the handicap. CAPTAIN REDBEARD races off the same mark as when second 12 months ago. He arrives back here after a similar campaign and it’s hard to see Stuart Coltherd’s 10-year-old finishing out of the frame and he has every chance of going one better.
