Verdict

Flashjack is a previous course and distance winner but tends to struggle in this grade. Tokyo Getaway is 2lb better off than when overhauled by SMALL PRESENT (NAP) here four weeks ago with a subsequent winner in third. But Sue Smith’s gelding is a dour stayer who may well confirm the placings, despite the revised weights. Foillan looks held while Bushypark is 12lb higher than when winning the race 12 months ago. Bill Baxter is improving, however, and Ascot third Optimise Prime is worth another try over 3m. Tamar Bridge was on a four-timer at Cheltenham last month but was never travelling and pulled up. He should be capable of better after a short break.
