Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer BROOMFIELD PRESENT made a successful hurdling debut at Ffos Las and may not have been suited by heavy ground and a tight track when beaten a length at Catterick. Horacio Apple's defied a 6lb rise for a victory at Ayr when battling to victory at Bangor so another 4lb does not look excessive but Galudon has not proved he stays this far while Gaillimh A Stor is reverting to hurdles after falling in two of his last three over fences. Broadway Boy looked one to follow after scoring at Aintree but did not make the expected progress at Exeter next time while Kingofthewest ran poorly at Market Rasen last month.
