In depth

Verdict

GRANDEUR D‘AME (NAP) went up 5lb for scoring at Huntingdon but defied the extra with a facile success at Stratford last week for which he carries a penalty. A hat-trick beckons though One Fine Man has also completed a double in recent weeks and has only been put up 2lb for scoring at Ayr. Escapeandevade started a short-priced favourite in the latter‘s earlier victory at Carlisle after an easy victory at Ayr but ran so poorly he cannot have been right. Amoola Gold was on a long losing run over fences before reverting to hurdles to beat two rivals at Huntingdon
