BATTAASH was beaten in the Nunthorpe last year but won his other four starts culminating with a victory in the Group 1 Prix de l’Abbaye at Chantilly. He made a winning start last season and, having undergone wind surgery over the winter, Charlie Hills’ colt will be all the rage for this with the prospect of more to come. Kachy beat lesser sprinters than these at Chester last time but Muthmir won a Group 2 last year while the veteran Take Cover ended last season in fine form.
