Verdict
Once again, the betting might provide you with some clues but, without that, the short list consists of Bahamian Lad, Exclamation and Generous Thought, with the selection being Generous Thought. Much as Bahamian Lad failed to build on his course and distance debut here last time, the easier going might work in his favour today and he could go well. Effingham also failed to build on his debut run last time but, again, he might be more at home under today's conditions. Exclamation looks sure to build on his Newbury debut promise behind the impressive Tajdeef, while Gain Share has shown promise in each start to date and, we mention in passing, is owned by Dastardly and Muttley. Also, Spice Trade's Ripon debut was not devoid of promise and Generous Thought has shown maiden promise as strong as any runner in the field. Among the interesting newcomers are the Henry Candy-trained son of Kyllachy, Corrybrough, the 50,000 guineas son of Namid, Feeling Lucky, and Kevin Ryan's 54,000 guineas purchase, Peter's Storm. However, for the selection, we return to Generous Thought.
