A competitive field goes to post for the first on the card but the principals look to be Accipiter, Very Optimistic and Jeropino and the confident vote goes to Very Optimistic. The gelding from the Jonjo O'Neill yard was a facile winner at this course when defeating Lough Dante last time and although he is stepping down in trip he is taken to score as he travelled so well through out his last race. Accipiter rates the main danger, he won well last time out when defeating Roofing Spirit in a bumper and he is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut. Jeropino is also worthy of respect he e was a fair fourth on his only run to date behind the selection and he is sure to improve but we take Very Optimistic to score despite his Penalty. The remainder have shown very little and will need to improve significantly to trouble the judge
