    In depth

    Verdict

Karanja, Knighton Lad and Northern Deal look the three against the field in this wide open affair and the confident vote is given to Karanja . The selection was a fair sort in bumpers and seemed to be getting the hang of things over hurdles last time out when beating Best Profile. Granted he has a penalty for that win but he is taken to win again under conditions that suit. Knighton Lad rates the main danger on his latest second behind Burnous. He will appreciate this longer trip but his over all profile leaves him with a little to find with the selection. Northern Deal is another that could go well on his best form but he may just need the run after a 419 day absence. Of the remainder Seeador and Sommelier have shown glimmers of ability and have place claims but both might be seen to better effects in handicaps and for the winner we return to Karanja.
