Verdict
Not a competitive contest and Ollie Magern will be a warm order to follow up his recent win at Stratford. However, he may be worth taking on with Probus Lord, who was fancied to lose his maiden tag at Uttoxeter last week, but was an early casualty. Prior to that he had shown much improved form when chasing home Dealers Choice at Newton Abbot over a trip just short of this and a repetition of that effort would make him hard to beat in this. Ollie Magern had plenty of use made of him when getting off the mark, in a poor contest at Stratford. He will be better suited to this stiffer test, but the penalty he has to shoulder here, may just prove too much for him. Any number of contenders for the third spot including Aslapoftheeuro, who showed little on his hurdling debut, but he is open to improvement and runs here in preference to two other engagements later on this week.
