Verdict

Come On George, Southerndown and Fielding's Hay look to be the principles in this handicap chase and we will side with Southerndown. The selection was a good second behind Little Herman at Chepstow last time and a reproduction of that effort should suffice with conditions to suit. Come On George looks the chief danger as he has winning form between the flags. He is clearly well-regarded and if the market speaks in his favour then it could pay to take the hint. Fielding's Hay has not been seen on the racecourse for almost a year but was a game winner last time out when defeating Perk Alert at Huntingdon. He does not look anything special but could go well providing he is fit. Barcham Again hails from the Kim Bailey yard and has shown a fair level of form, so would have to enter calculations if he gets a clear round, but Southerndown looks to have solid credentials and is given the nomination.
