In depth

Verdict

Toby Lerone won this last year on his reappearance and has had a similar break since finishing third at Wincanton last April. He’ll make a bold bid to follow up while the once-useful Opening Batsman should have benefited from a fourth at Taunton earlier this month, his first run since completing a double in handicaps last spring. Shotavodka has his first run in a hunter chase but has changed stables and had a break. Got The Nac has also switched yards since winning an Open at Loughanmore in October but Full Trottle is respected given he’s won all three previous starts under Rules and had an outing between the flags last month. SIR JACK YEATS has won three times over fences and twice over hurdles in Ireland. Only seven, he has the scope to do well in this sphere and is entered in the Foxhunter at Cheltenham in March so will be expected to make his presence felt here.
