Verdict
Book's Way is progressing enough to warrant the vote ahead of Son Of Snurge in a poor contest. Book's Way is a dual point-to-point winner who has shaped well enough at Sedgefield and more recently Huntingdon where he showed that he does at least stay a trip. He does in fact move back after being held by Kippanour last time and should make a bold bid to go one better. Son Of Snurge was good enough to win at Sandown on the Flat a few years ago, but a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then, and he has found it extremely hard to score over timber. He will be plugging on at the one-pace again here no doubt as will Solway Dawn. Hurricane Katie does at least have a bit of scope, but Book's Way is a more natural candidate for the winter game and is the pick.
