Verdict

Debut winner RUPESTRIAN can defy a penalty here, at the main expense of Shaker Style and Hill Cross. Lingfield maiden winner Rupestrian made a winning debut over timber at Stratford, when not unfancied. He carries a penalty but he is up against inexperienced rivals and can make that tell. Hill Cross did show glimmers of ability on the Flat, and it is interesting that Keith Reveley is persisting with him. His recent form tailed off however, and a watching brief is advised. Shaker Style landed a little handicap on the all-weather in February, and is the biggest danger. He clearly has ability, and any market move on his hurdling bow should be heeded. However, Rupestrian seems to have been found another good opportunity and can make it two out of two.
