Verdict

In a contest where quality is sadly lacking, SANDS RISING gets the vote to get the better of Scuze Me and Finbin. Scuze Me has a seller win at Hamilton on the Flat as his only success to date, and he has been allowed to start at massive prices in recent chase ventures. However, he ran well for a long way before making mistakes last time and can reach the frame at a nice price. Sands Rising has plenty of experience to his credit, and ran well at Carlisle to finish second recently, just being run out of it in the closing stages. He looks the safest proposition here. Former winning Irish point to pointer Finbin looks a danger however. He won over hurdles at Newcastle two outings ago, and makes his first attempt under rules over the bigger obstacles here. He can give a good account. However, Sands Rising deserves reward for some near misses and can take this.
