Verdict

Dakota Beat won at Kilbeggan but won’t find this easy under a penalty in the conditions. Took The Lot didn’t improve on a debut victory at Stratford when third on a return visit but Flutter Down wasn’t beaten far at Perth last month, despite starting at 50/1. Newcomer Grumpy Mcgrumpface has a NH pedigree but this can go to NEVILLE’S CROSS, who would almost have certainly won on his point-to-point debut at Tabley had he not slipped up between obstacles. He’s a strapping individual who should make a nice jumper in time.
