Verdict
A very competitive novice hurdle that may fall to Bewleys Berry, with Buttress and Le Biassais rated as the main rivals. Howard Johnson has an abundance of talent in his yard this season and this six-year-old is another potential star. This son of Shernazar was most impressive when landing a Gowran Park bumper by eight lengths when trained by John Berry. The Irish trainer was very sweet on this gelding and was very reluctant to let him go, however the right offer came in from Graham Wylie and he can now start paying back his new owner. Buttress is improving with time and put up an excellent display on his seasonal debut, chasing home Lennon in a Musselburgh bumper and he should go close on his hurdles debut. Lennie Lungo saddles Le Biassais has shown promise in two hurdles this season and should also figure in the finish. Neckar Valley is another with place claims, however Bewleys Berry has the potential to go very far at this game and is a confident selection
