In depth

Verdict

JAGO RIVER showed enough on his debut to suggest he is good enough to win a race of this calibre, while both Star Native and Tiptoeaway warrant respect. The selection ran third on his debut at Carlisle running a little green in the process. His connections have a great strike rate in these races and with the benefit of his experience he is sure to take all the beating. Star Native improved from his debut outing to finished midfield at Doncaster last time out. That looked quite a hot little contest and this looks like an easier opportunity for him. Newcomer Tiptowaway is a nicely bred individual that comes from a well respected yard. He is sure to benefit for the run but the market will be the best guide to his chances. Jago River is the form horse and is sure to go close in the finale.
