In depth
Verdict
Silverhay looked to be ahead of the handicapper when landing a quick brace earlier in the month and is the one to be on again here. Mohawk Star and Barney are fancied to pose the most problems along the way. Barney won over course and distance last time out and is obviously on good terms with himself just now. He will need to be, however, as he looks anchored by his rating and needs to be at his very best. Mohawk Star has bits and pieces of form to his name and made a satisfactory start for his new yard at Kelso last month. It is noteworthy he is tried minus headgear this afternoon, so any market confidence would be dangerous to ignore. However, Silverhay has made good progress over hurdles of late and, as Milton Harris appears to have found the key to him, this looks an ideal opportunity for him to maintain his progress.
