Verdict

STORM FORECAST was beaten at odds-on here last month, exactly a year since he’d finished second in the same race. With headgear applied, Malcolm Jefferson’s six-year-old is given one final chance to open his account over timber as he is getting 6lb from Applaus, who is only rated 4lb superior and didn’t really run up to form on this sort of surface at Newcastle last time. Sunset Marquis has had her chances and none of the others make much appeal.
