Verdict
With the going on the fast side still, this three miles should not be to strenuous for the 12 runners, with Bold Cardowan taken to outlast Frankie Anson and Chancers Dante. Bold Cardowan's last win came over the course and distance 12 months ago, since which he has gone down the handicap. There were encouraging signs at Newcastle on his latest outing that a return to the winner's enclosure in this type of company is imminent, and with Richard Johnson on board, he gets the vote. Frankie Anson scored at Wetherby last time but has more to do as that was a selling contest, but Chancers Dante can prove troublesome judged on his latest second over the track and trip. he stays well and likes fast ground so appears to be a banker for the frame.
