Verdict
Silver Streak lost no caste in defeat behind subsequent Cheltenham winner Mister Friday at Market Rasen when last seen in a hunter chase and is taken to gain compensation here at the main expense of Monty's Quest and Dun Rose. The selection has had a confidence boosting success in a point-to-point since that run at Market Rasen and a reproduction of the form shown at the Lincolnshire venue should suffice. Red Rampage is capable on his day but has disappointed of late and of more interest may be recent Kelso winner Dun Rose. Slaney Native would have solid claims on the pick of his Irish form but has lost his way in the last couple of years and is probably best watched at present, while Kilcaskin Gold has more to do than when winning a weak point-to-point last time. Monty's Quest was good value for his defeat of Mr Mahdlo at Kelso last time and has to be respected but Silver Streak has the best recent form on offer and he gets the vote.
