Verdict

FORTUNATE FRED showed ability when third over track and trip on his debut behind the progressive Third Time Lucki. That looks stronger form than George Of Naunton’s debut effort at Wincanton and Jamie Snowdon's charge may prove good enough. Martinhal fell in a point-to-point in November but is related to a couple of winner over jumps and debuts under Rules while Irish Sovereign, the first foal of a winner over hurdles, is a newcomer to note along with Gumbo Flyer.
