In depth
Verdict
A bumper in which few make any appeal on public form, and it would be no surprise to see Xerxes make a winning debut. Jonjo O'Neill has plenty of winners in this sphere and a positive market signal for this French bred gelding could be worth following. Henrietta Knight is another trainer capable of producing a horse to win first time out in a race like this and Imperial Dream, a son of Roselier, is also worth noting ion the betting. The Ian Williams-trained Anshan mare, Fulwell Hill, is another newcomer to note. Pick of those with experience could be Nicky Henderson's Thread Of Honour, third at Southwell on his second start, in a race that has worked out reasonably well.
