      Verdict

Sonoran Sands was only beaten half-a-length by Swing Bowler at Ludlow last month and appears on the upgrade, while Vimiero stepped up on previous efforts when beaten the same distance by Ile De Re at Sandown and should be winning soon. Guess Again has been knocking on the door but this will be his first run on a quicker surface and preference is for newcomers Brick Red and KADOODD. The former was a decent miler on the Flat for Andrew Balding and is now with Venetia Williams but the vote goes to the latter as John Ferguson has already unleashed useful novices Perpetually and Cry Of Freedom on this course and will also have high hopes for this son of Motivator, who had decent maiden form on the Flat for Mick Channon.
