Verdict

TRITONVILLE LODGE may prove capable of giving weight and a beating to some in-form rivals in Sabre Hongrois, Bolton Hall and Phoenix Eye. The selection hasn't been out since May but that's of no concern given that that victory was his first run since November whilst his trainer already has the string in good form. He has to compete from a 5lb higher mark which will necessitate a career best but he has the scope to pull out a little more. Bolton Hall represents a respected combination and is likely to try and stretch this field as he's not short of stamina and he may not be easy to pass whilst Phoenix Eye is usually held-up and should appreciate the gallop that Bolton Hall will set. Phoenix Eye's career wins have all come at intervals though so there has to be some doubt about him following up. Sabre Hongrois often races prominently so there's a possibility that he could become embroiled in a battle for the lead which may not suit him as he has seemed best when able to dominate. A variety of tactics have been employed for Tritonville Lodge who will hopefully be held-up just off the pace in this contest before being asked to go past his rivals in the home straight.
