In depth
Verdict
Still only a five-year-old, ALLMANKIND is already rated 164 over fences having landed a Grade 2 at Aintree in October. Dan Skelton’s charge looks the one to beat and can confirm last year’s Grade 1 novice form at Sandown with Eldorado Allen. The latter won the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter on his reappearance while First Flow was successful at the highest level when landing the Clarence House at Ascot in January and steps up in trip. Funambule Sivola should prove up to this level this season and has more scope than recent Grade 2 runner-up Master Tommytucker but Keeper Hill looks up against it in this company.
