In depth

Verdict

Ali The Hunter finished ahead of ASK THE LADY trying 3m for the first time at Taunton but the even longer trip here will suit Fergal O’Brien’s mare, who re-opposes on better terms and can turn the tables. Forchena’s lack of a recent run won’t aid her cause but she remains unexposed with a similar comment applying to Stratford third Missthecuddles. Gentle Rose appeared to lose her action at Southwell and was pulled up but she’s obviously been given a clean bill of health and an earlier second at Wetherby was a fair run.
