Verdict

Alexander The Grey found a new way of grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory here at the start of the month, crashing out through the wing of the second last when in front. He’d been beaten 10 lengths by Chill In The Wood earlier at Plumpton and may struggle to reverse that form. Shady Glen looks to have been given a chance by the handicapper and Almost Gold is also respected along with Arthur's Reuben, whose only previous victory came over track and trip. But CHASE THE WIND has placed three times off this mark this year and his luck can change here following a break.
