In depth
Verdict
Kadouko ran with credit on his return here over the extended two-mile trip last month and should improve for the run but preference is for Billywill, who gets the nod over Barcham Again. The last mentioned is trained by Kim Bailey, who has a good record here, and is probably better than his only previous showing over fences would suggest. However, in a moderate contest, Billywill stands out. The Seamus Mullins-trained gelding was a comfortable nine-length winner at Hereford last month and, although a 9lb rise gives him more to do here, he should be too good for some out of form rivals. Top weight Rose Palma makes her British debut but was nothing out of the ordinary in France and it will be a surprise if she is good enough to beat these, while Lambrini Gold gave little sign of encouragement on his reappearance last month. With Michael Scudamore's stable back among the winners, Waynesworld may step up on previous form this term but for the winner we are happy to stick with Billywill, who has obvious claims.
