Verdict
Blofeld can follow up his latest victory at the expense of Muy Bien and Barras in the opening event on the card. Willie Jarvis has Blofeld ticking over nicely at present, as three straight wins reveals. His latest effort 10 days ago came at Southwell, scene of each of his successes, and despite the fact that he is now four pounds worse off with Muy Bien, we believe that he still has a bit more in the locker. As stated, strictly at the weights, Muy Bien should turn the tables, but Lisa Jones will ensure that they go a strong enough pace if need be, and the three-year-old, who can make his own running or come from off the pace, can complete a four-timer. Of the others, Barras has an absence to overcome, but rounded off his summer campaign with a selling victory at Catterick, while Chickado is a course and distance winner who will appreciate the return to six furlongs. It should though be a battle between the topweights, with Blofeld taken to defy the handicapper.
