In depth
Verdict
A competitive handicap chase here but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Red Minster, Beefy Nova and El Hombre and the vote goes to the bang-in-form Beefy Nova. The selection has won his last two races in good style and although he is rising in the weights he won with a little in hand last time when defeating Outlaw Express and is taken to win again. Red Minster rates the main danger on his last run last season when third behind JJ Baboo but he has a 377 day absence to overcome and for that reason he is opposed. El Hombre is also worthy of respect he was a fair third behind Good Outlook last time and that form has since been franked so he should go well off what looks a fair mark.Santella Boy ran as if returning to form when third behind El Cordobes but he is not getting any better at the age of 12 and for the winner we return to the in form Beefy Nova.
