In depth

Verdict

Porthilly Bay is interesting first time out but Henry Daly's stable has been rather quiet so far this term so he may be best watched and preference is for Swazi Prince, who gets the vote ahead of Albert House. The selection also lacks a run this term but Nigel Twiston-Davies is capable of producing one fit after an absence and he looks to be potentially well treated. Prayerful showed improved form at Uttoxeter last month and has claims on that evidence, while End of An Error has run with some consistency but needs to improve to trouble the judge. Mrs Pickles gave little cause for optimism on her return, while Southerncrosspatch has more to do than when landing a weak selling handicap at Worcester. Robert Alner's Albert House has solid claims on the evidence of his reappearance run here but disappointed at Towcester subsequently. In a competitive but moderate contest a chance then is taken with Swazi Prince.
